Welcome to the Honeycutt Wrestling! HW offers wrestling instruction, practice and competition opportunities to youths and young adults. Wrestling is a challenging sport – both physically and mentally. At HW our mission is to educate boys and girls about the sport of wrestling to inspire sportsmanship, integrity, character, leadership and wrestling excellence. We aim to foster an atmosphere of ethical conduct and respect while having fun. Our club trains in folkstyle (collegiate), greco & freestyle wrestling and our season runs mid-October through mid-February. We also offer a spring freestyle wrestling season. Freestyle usually starts at the beginning or middle of February and runs into May or June. We welcome you and your child to attend any practice to check things out.

RHW welcomes any child between the ages of 6 and 22 as of December 31.
Registration is an annual $30 for a single wrestler. Fees for multi-wrestler families are: $50 for two wrestlers, $65 for three wrestlers, and $75 for four wrestlers or more from the same family.
Wrestlers must arrive on time and be ready for practice. This includes being dressed appropriately and ready to listen and learn. Appropriate attire is t-shirt, shorts and tennis shoes. Headgear is NOT optional during practice. It is in the wrestler’s best interest to attend as many practices as possible. We learn new moves each practice and do a lot of conditioning. Strong minds and strong bodies are key to wrestling success. Please have your wrestler use the restroom prior to practice. If your child needs to use the restroom during practice, she/he will need to let the instructor know. Wrestling shoes are not to be worn outdoors. You can purchase shoe covers, use oversized slides to slip on over their shoes, or have a change of shoes available.
HW is a member of the USA Wrestling. This is a preparatory league and every attempt is made to mirror competitive conditions in high school. To achieve this, there is an official weigh-in at every League event and wrestlers will work toward a spot on the Junior Varsity/Varsity team. See the Event page for details.
